Carranza Loft Refund Policy

Carranza Loft (hereafter “CL”) is dedicated to providing top-quality racing pigeons to the racing pigeon community. Our reputation is built on the quality of our birds, our commitment to excellent customer service, and our transparent business practices. This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds will be issued, ensuring a fair and consistent process for all our buyers. Refund Eligibility:

​

Carranza Loft will refund the full purchase value (excluding shipping costs) of a racing pigeon under the following circumstances:

​

  1. Sterility: If the pigeon is proven to be permanently sterile or incapable of reproduction within 6 months of arrival at the buyer’s loft. CL reserves the right to have a vet confirm sterility before issuing a refund.

  2. Death from Disease: If the pigeon dies from a disease within 30 days of receipt, provided the pigeon was kept in proper quarantine. CL may request an examination of the pigeon’s remains to confirm the cause of death.

  3. Shipping-Related Death/Injury: If the pigeon dies or sustains permanent injuries during shipping that prevent breeding or significantly reduce its lifespan. This excludes cases where the buyer requested shipping in extreme temperatures (above 90°F or below 20°F). Verification by a vet may be required.

  4. Undisclosed Genetic Defects: If the pigeon has an undisclosed genetic defect that affects its value, breeding potential, or racing abilities. Minor physical imperfections not impacting these factors do not qualify for a refund.

  5. Misrepresentation: If the pigeon does not match the description provided or if the pedigree is inaccurate.


Additional Terms:

  1. Return of the Bird or ID Band: To process a refund, the pigeon or its identification band must be returned to CL.

  2. Non-Refundable Costs: Shipping costs are non-refundable. Additionally, CL will not deduct any auction commission fees from refunds.

  3. No Refunds for Subjective Preferences: Refunds will not be issued for reasons such as buyer’s remorse, dissatisfaction with the pigeon’s appearance, size, or other subjective opinions. Quality assessments are inherently subjective and not grounds for a refund.

  4. DNA Certification: Upon request, Carranza Loft (CL) can provide DNA certificates verifying the parentage of our pigeons. This ensures the accuracy of lineage information provided. In the unlikely event that a DNA certificate is proven non-authentic, the buyer will receive a full refund upon returning the pigeon.
